Not a bad try at all. When I compare it to my own skin, I notice it doesn't really look really smooth (don't know how to explain it properly). The bottom part looks kind of spooky snake-ish or something.

Yeah I probably put too much reflection on the body skin parts again
The reptilian feel probably comes from the greenish hue.
Trying to work on a Minami picture now though

Oooh, looks nice Maybe a bit too shiny, and the green is a tiny bit creepy but it appears to just be from the background lighting. I like the texture on it though.

And I missed Assassin's Creed talk, ahhhh!

I think I beat the story in Brotherhood in like...17 hours? I had borrowed a copy from work because I couldn't afford to buy it right away and hence only had it for like...4 days, so I had to rush through it. I did none of the Cristina memories, only 100% synched half the memories, only did one of the War Machines and two of the Lairs...so there's still a ton left to do. I did 100% renovate Rome and train up all 12 of my Assassins, though ^_^ I've been pretty well addicted to the multiplayer, it's a lot of fun.

AC2 I probably put about 35 hours into; did all of the tombs, collected 100% of the feathers and upgraded everything in Monteriggioni, though I did very few sidequests and have yet to do the DLC sequences.

I love those games

Ooo nice, Verene!

I'm almost at the end of AC: B, it's been sitting there since I had to call the ambulance on my hubby. After he got out and started to feel better, he bought me Mass Effect 2. I read that ME1 should be played before ME2, so I'm going through it now.
It's going kind of slow, because we have so many things to do IRL.

I can't wait to get back to AC: B after I'm done with ME2 though, I want to know how it ends! O_O
I don't play the online multiplayer part, since I'm not subscribed to Xbox LIVE gold.
I love to send my assassins out on missions though, and it's always fun to call on them for an assassination and watch them kill the target.
I love the lairs or Romulus, so much fun to try and find your way through them! It seems harder to complete those than in AC2 though. maybe because of the improved graphics, the little ledges and cracks in the wall just don't jump out at you so much.

Yeeaaa I could talk about it for hours LOL

I actually think the Tombs in AC2 were more difficult; mostly because of the damned levers that would change something for a small amount of time. One of them took me something like half an hour to complete because of that. And oooh the ending to AC:B is awesome. And such a cliffhanger, oh my god. I want AC3 like NOW o.o

And you should try the multiplayer I can probably find a two-day XBL trial code at work for you if you want to give it a try (we always have tons of them laying around). I'm also playing Project Legacy on facebook XD I am such an Assassin's Creed nerd. I'm even planning on a cosplay from it - my boyfriend really wants to be Ezio, so I'm going to make him Ezio's master assassin armor from Brotherhood (Altair's armor in that one), and I'm going to go as Caterina Sforza myself (her AC2 version, since I like that dress better). It will be so awesome

I also play Project Legacy on FB AC nerdness FTW! ^_^
Oo, AC cosplay! I'd love to see pics of the completed costumes!
Caterina Sforza rules

A trial code would be awesome ^_^ I prolly have one or two in game cases, but it'd take me ages to find one, mostly cuz I stashed my older games behind our dresser so our kitty couldn't get in here and get stuck

Cool new model. I'm gonna have to ask you for some tips once I later take a stab at modeling.

Her skin looks great! I've always thought it was kind of ironic how people try to airbrush their skin flaws away to look perfect while artists on the other hand try to add skin flaws to make their creations look more realistic XD

Thanks you guys ^_^

That is ironic Thistle, I go through so much trouble to try and make the skin look imperfect, be it sweaty, baggy eyes, crows feet around the eyes or other age lines, pores, etc
Sometimes it has to be done postwork in photoshop, because the premade skin texture doesn't have those options.

not bad minami ^^
i think she looks too human; that actually sounded kind of wierd. LOL

I think her limbs should be more thin; they should sort of resemble stems or branches. Not necessarily pencil thin, but I wouldnt imagine they have much "meat on their bones".
Then proportion the rest of the body to that.

Thanks DBA ^_^
Since I don't know what the Sylvari will look like, I'm just experimenting with stuff that I can think of
Like I posted, I'll probably be redoing it all.
For right now, I'm trying to get comfortable with the program, learning it, following tutorials and such.
So far, I totally love it though
I'm just kind of posting here what I get by playing around with stuff, nothing set in stone or serious or anything.

Awesome! Was the model done from scratch or did you compile it? Curious to know how difficult it is to create models entirely from scratch in that program.

For getting comfortable, it looks really good.
those were just some suggestions for when you re-do it.

sylvari is my most-anticipated race; it's going to be my main. So other than human, its my most knowledgable race

The base model I used is the usual human female figure base (V4), with a Dryad pack.
I modified it in ZBrush, to get a feel of how the brush sizes, alphas, textures, and rendering works.

I am doing a ZSphere model base right now.
Takes a while to get used to it, but after watching as many tutorials as I did, at least you'll know what the different tools do.
I built up a great library of all kinds of tutorials for that program.

The versatility is amazing, ZBrush will definitely be the modeling program I'll use from now on, for everything.
Because it CAN do EVERYTHING. O_o *bows*
(ok, the fur/hair creation is not entirely there, but I wouldn't be surprised if that'll be the next thing they'll add to version 5 )

All in all, you can do superb modeling in that program, no wonder all the gaming and movie studios use it.
Check out this link: http://www.pixologic.com/zbrush/industry/video-games/
It'll tell you some of the gaming studios using ZBrush, and just in general what presence it has in all sorts of industries.

Oooh, looking nice. I do agree that it's a bit too human-looking for a Sylvari, but I think it's going in the right direction. I think that Anet's current Sylvari look too human anyway, they had some much nicer versions in their concept art. :P

Good luck with the program, it's definitely looking like an amazing way to do 3D.

What's it like to actually sort of create shapes? I'm only really familiar with the vertice (sp?) method with a bunch of points that map out shapes. Does this program go about it a different way?
